Activities

Below are a small selection of the activities we get up to as a Colony, just to give you a taster of what you could be doing as part of Zeus Beavers.

Churchtown Activity Centre

We took the Beavers to the Churchtown activity centre just outside Bodmin to give them the opportunity to try out some new and exciting activities as well as some they were more familiar with.

The children all had a go at abseiling, took a ride down a Zip wire, learnt how to use a bow and arrow on the archery range and then designed and tested their own raft in the lake!

The Beavers all thoroughly enjoyed their day of adventure and are all looking forward to our planed return one Friday evening next year.

Beaver Fun Day

The Beaver Fun day is an event held by the County Scouts. Beavers from all over Cornwall meet for a day of fun and activities at Nine Ashes the County Scout Campsite.

The beavers all had a great day taking part in climbing, abseiling, zip wire, cycling through the woods, blind fold trail, backwoods cooking, orienteering, crafts, archery and bouncing around on the bouncy castle.

As well as all the activities that where put on the RNLI and ambulance service were there with interactive presentations, educating the children on beach safety and what to do if they come across an accident.

These are just a some of the activities that we get up to on top of our normal weekly programme. We try and get out and about whenever we can and get the Beavers involved in as many new and exciting activities as we can. To find out what we really get up to, you will have to apply to Join Us and come along to our meetings. Join the Adventure!

All activities are run in accordance with The Scout Association’s Policy Organisation and Rules and any other guidelines provided on additional factsheets, provided by the Scout Association. Activities by third party providers are run in accordance with industry standards.
